Titleist recently released its new 906 F4 fairway wood family, that is available in 13.5, 15.5, and 18.5 lofts. I’ve wanted to give this club a try since I read about it, but only recently did the pro shop get a demo in. Barely teed it up and still this club send the ball soaring high into the sky every time. I was using the 15.5 degree loft. Hitting it off the deck had the same high flying results minus the occasional shanks of course. Taking it out on the front nine proved to make me want to reach for my wallet as every ball (Pro V1s) went high and straight right where I wanted it to, a bit uncanny.

The club is designed with a lower center of gravity that is responsible for the high launch, but it also helps to add more spin. Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Titleist, Steve Pelisek, claims that “The new 906 F4 is the most playable Titleist fairway club yet.” I loved my 975J driver for a long time and as far as Titleist clubs go, this club is quite superior to its predecessors and would be a crucial addition to any golfers bag.
