Black Mesa

Built in the year 2003, Black Mesa Golf Club is been designed by a well known golf course designer Baxter span. This 7,307 yard golf course is situated in Santa Clara Pueblo just 20 miles north of Santa Fe in New Mexico. This golf course plays through the dramatic sandstone ridges with Black Mesa which is visible from various locations. Every hole is different and feature characteristics which make them both memorable and strategic in its own distinctive style. This 18 hole course showcases typical bunkering, native rifts as hazards and green contouring in keeping with the scale of the natural landforms. This Black Mesa Golf Course is located at an elevation of about 5400 feet and plays at 7,307 yards, par 72 with 105 bunkers. There are several boring golf courses that have one or more teeing areas where the tee markers are placed. But Black Mesa’s each hole has several different tee areas that are not only at different distances but even they are completely at different elevations and angles. By playing dissimilar tees from one round to another one could be playing what seems like an entirely different course. Black Mesa’s green side and fairway bunkers are rigorous, ragged and rugged. Several golf courses make their bunkers too pretty and pristine. At Black Mesa Golf Club the native plants and grasses are been found growing right into the rough edges of the bunkers. Although the greens at Black Mesa are large and have a countless breaks they aren’t unfair. A skilled and professional golfer could place a shot to the exact section of the green and have a great shot at birdie.
